"When a judge is indicted for dozens of felony charges, and is alleged to have violated the laws he swore to uphold, it is extremely serious and deeply disturbing," said Troy King. "The people of Bessemer, and citizens throughout our state, rightfully expect complete honesty from those who are responsible for delivering justice in our courts. When evidence indicates that public officials have broken the law -- regardless of their position -- the Office of Attorney General will vigorously pursue justice for the people of Alabama." 

2.   Another of his boys, Sonny Ferguson, has been assisting lawyers in committing criminal acts against the citizens of Jefferson County such as perjury, destruction of evidence, tampering with official orders and violating civil rights.

3.    Judge Vowell himself presided over a case involving an illegal election and the Alabama Supreme Court had to issue an Emergency Order against him to stop the illegal election from being certified:

EMERGENCY MOTION FOR INJUNCTION PENDING APPEAL

THE ORDER

The emergency motion for injunction is granted and the Jefferson County Election Commission is hereby enjoined from certifying the results of the February 5, 2008 special election for District One of the Jefferson County Commission pending further order of this court.

Lyons, Woodall, Stuart, Smith, Bolin, Parker, and Murdock/ JJ. concur.


The United States Supreme Court issued the following ruling of the illegal
SPECIAL ELECTION:
(page 10, paragraph 5)

                                      
March 18, 2008.  In spite of the clear decisions from  Alabama Supreme Court holding that the local laws such as  Act No. 77-784  violate the Alabama Constitution,  see Stokes v. Noonan,   534 So. 2d 237  ( Ala. 1988); Riley v. Kennedy, 928 So. 2d 1013 (Ala. 2005), the Circuit Court entered a judgment declaring that Alabama law required vacancies on the Jefferson County Commission to be filled by special election.

 Judge Vowell “decided” that a subpoena, properly served on him by  the sheriff of Jefferson County did not apply to him and he did not even bother to show up in court.  (Of course, he had his buddy, Sonny Ferguson dismiss everything that morning, 


but...


how did Judge Vowell know that the case was going to be dismissed?  He was not even there???) 

 But you know what is most disturbing of all about Judge Vowell? 

Citizens, like you and me have been going to see him regarding the corruption in Jefferson County courts for over two years, and he has been made aware that judges like Sonny Ferguson and others have been involved in criminal activity.

JUDGE VOWELL HAS MADE A MOCKERY OF OUR JUDICIARY SYSTEM, AND TURNED IT INTO A JOKE!!!

 THIS GUY BELONGS BEHIND BARS

So who is this guy, J. Scott Vowell? 

He is the reason justice, fairness and integrity have died in Jefferson County and maybe even the whole state of Alabama. 

 I guess Judge Vowell needs to go back to his Judicial Canons of Ethics Number One. 

A JUDGE SHOULD UPHOLD THE INTEGRITY AND INDEPENDENCE OF THE JUDICIARY… 

"An independent and honorable judiciary is indispensable to justice in our society.  A judge should participate in establishing, maintaining and enforcing and should HIMSELF observe high standards of conduct so that the integrity and independence of the judiciary may be preserved..."   

Judge Vowell - does this still apply to you? 
Apparently NOT! 

 
PLEASE RESIGN AND GIVE JEFFERSON COUNTY A CHANCE AT A FUTURE OF INTEGRITY!!!
